Network Tasman has been providing consumers with a discount in November/December each year for some time now.
Network Tasman is pleased to be able to provide a November 2011 discount to consumers.
Consumers should expect the discount to appear as a credit
on their November or December power accounts. The following
information provides more details the discount.
Eligibility
The key eligibility criteria for the second discount is that the
consumer has an active, metered connection to the
network and is responsible for paying the line charge as
at
midnight Monday, 14 November 2011.
Exclusions
Any of the following circumstances will exclude an ICP
from receiving
the discount:
· where the meters have been removed prior to midnight
14 November 2011.
· where an ICP has been disconnected, or is vacant or inactive on
the registry prior to midnight 14 November 2011
· temporary boxes
· streetlights
· electric fences
· consumers who have had a final reading or requested a final
reading to be taken on or before midnight 14
November 2011
All domestic consumers will receive a discount of $38 per connection and 0.42 cents per kilowatt hour (GST inclusive) on their power consumption recorded for the year ending 14 November 2011.
Most business & commercial consumers will receive discounts calculated on the same basis.
Discounts will vary between consumers due to differing levels of electricity consumption.
An average domestic consumer using 8,000 kWh/pa will receive a discount of $72.
